Steve Kerr identifies learning moment in Warriors' win vs. Timberwolves — Portola Valley Sports news

The Warriors 119-114 win over the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Wednesday didn t come without areas to improve, according to Steve Kerr. We didn t do a good job closing, but we did win the game, and that was the objective, obviously, Kerr told reporters at his postgame press conference. I kind of like what happened because we need to learn from it. Kerr described how his team s troubles began in the third quarter during a sequence where Golden State turned the ball over four times in less than 90 seconds. We let them off the hook when we were up 73-50 with all those turnovers. The whole game changed right then at that point. That s when it got wild and crazy, Kerr said. Once a game changes in the NBA, it is hard to get it back. We ve got to learn that lesson. The Warriors turned the ball over 11 times in the second half. We smelled blood in the water, and we thought that we needed to make great plays and spectacular plays in order to kind of extend it [the lead]
